Keystone College Woodlands Campus Trails

Keystone College in La Plume is home to the 170-acre Woodlands Campus. The property encompasses ponds, streams, wetlands, meadows, a maple sugaring operation, outdoor classrooms, and field stations. The Keystone College Environmental Education Institute uses the Woodlands Campus for outdoor classes and workshops for all ages.

The Woodlands Campus features about seven miles of hiking trails that are open to the public. The trails are open seven days a week from dawn until dusk and are reserved for foot traffic only. Bicycles are allowed only on the Trolley Trail.

Trails include:

Nokomis Forest Stewardship Trail: A 1.2-mile trail that educates hikers about environmental stewardship.
Riparian Trail: A one-mile trail along Tunkhannock Creek and surrounding habitats.
Tree Identification Walk: A route through campus with 38 educational stops about trees.
Trolley Trail: A 1.3-mile rail trail in partnership with Countryside Conservancy.
Tunkhannock Trail: A two-mile trail exploring the various habitats of the Woodlands Campus.
Water Discovery Interpretive Trail: A 0.35-mile trail along Tunkhannock Creek.
