Little Rocky Glen Preserve

Little Rocky Glen Preserve is a nature preserve that is owned and managed by Countryside Conservancy. The 26-acre property encompasses a stunning gorge along the South Branch of Tunkhannock Creek. The cliffs along the creek are up to one hundred feet tall, towering above the rushing waterfalls and natural potholes below.

Little Rocky Glen’s short hiking trails will lead you beside the creek and through the hemlock groves. The trails lead to a grassy meadow, where you’ll find a picnic pavilion and peaceful views of the water. The creek is a popular spot for fishing, especially during trout season. Please note that swimming and diving are not permitted at Little Rocky Glen.

Little Rocky Glen Preserve is open to the public from dawn to dusk, April to November. From Route 6, turn onto Lithia Valley Road and continue about one-third of a mile. A small dirt parking area is located on the right side of the road, immediately before the concrete bridge.
