The Endless Mountains Heritage Region (EMHR) presents the second installment of its three-part ”Rivers of Our Region” series, which will feature captivating films and knowledgeable panelists with an abundance of historical and recreational information pertaining to the North Branch of the Susquehanna River and the Loyalsock Creek. This April 20 presentation at 10 a.m. at the Dietrich Theater will pertain to the North Branch of the Susquehanna, which was designated "2016 River of the Year" by the Pennsylvania Organization for Watersheds and Rivers (POWR). The event will begin with a showing of WVIA’s “Looking to the River” film followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with: -Donald Williams – Susquehanna River advocate/environmental activist -Richard Fitzsimmons – Found board member of the Susquehanna Greenway Partnership/Susquehanna River 444 Club member/former Wyoming County Commissioner -Dr. Gere Reisinger – Native American historian/river enthusiast -Emily Rinaldi – EMHR’s Water Trail Coordinator/Manager These events were funded in part by the Endless Mountains Visitors Bureau and the Room Tax Funds of Sullivan, Susquehanna and Wyoming Counties.
